The 600 ml transparent Rec-Oval is the entry-capacity clear thinwall — 14.4 g of food-grade PP moulded for single-portion cold-chain and frozen retail where contents must be visible through the wall before purchase.
Where the 600 ml Clear Rec-Oval fits
A 600 ml clear container is the standard format for frozen single-meal manufacturing and personal-portion fresh retail. The depth is shallow enough (43 mm) for blast-freezer racks, the footprint is large enough to fit a protein + base + vegetable visibly, and the clarity supports on-shelf merchandising without secondary printed sleeves.
Three named segments:
- Frozen meal manufacturing (–18°C cold-chain) — single-portion ready-meals frozen for retail. PP holds shape through the blast-freeze cycle where PET would crack.
- Fresh salad and cut-fruit retail — supermarket cold-counter SKUs where freshness reads through the lid; the 43 mm shelf height fits standard chilled gondola spacing.
- Sushi and sashimi platters — single-portion sushi where presentation under the lid is the entire sale.

Why PP for –18°C frozen-meal cold-chain
PP food-grade is the only practical clear plastic that survives the full cold-chain temperature swing without material failure. PET cracks at sub-zero impact, PS goes brittle around –10°C, and PLA/CPLA distorts before –5°C. PP stays impact-tolerant from –18°C blast freezer through ambient distribution and back through customer microwave reheat to 100°C — one container, full lifecycle.
For frozen-fill operations, fill to roughly 80% capacity (around 480 ml in this 600 ml container) so any liquid component has room to expand by the typical 8–9% on freezing without pressing the lid seal. The 14.4 g wall holds geometry through repeated freeze-thaw cycles tested at the Wingoh QC line.
Ordering details
MOQ 1 carton (500 pcs, 20 pcs/pack × 25 packs). Frozen-meal manufacturers typically order 20–100 cartons per run to match a production batch; a 20' container holds approximately 1,800 cartons of this SKU. Lids share the Rec-Oval flange across the 600/750/1000 ml clear and black variants.
For premium dark-base presentation on the same mould geometry, see the black 600 ml Rec-Oval. For larger salad and family-pack portions, the transparent 1000 ml shares lid sizing.
