The 750 ml transparent Rec-Oval is the salad and cold-display variant of Wingoh's premium thinwall mould — 20.8 g of clear PP polypropylene moulded so the contents read as the packaging. Where the black variant masks the meal, the transparent variant sells it.
Where the 750 ml Clear Rec-Oval fits
Transparent thinwall is specified when the food itself is the merchandising. Layered salads, grain bowls, fruit cups, and poké sell off the shelf because the customer can see colour, freshness, and portion size before pick-up.
Three named segments:
- Salad bar packaging — supermarket and café cold-counter operations where the customer assembles or selects from displayed inventory. Clear walls let visual quality drive choice.
- Cold-chain retail meal kits — chilled ready-meals in supermarket fridges. Clear PP shows the ingredient layering that brand photography promises.
- Fresh-fruit cups and parfaits — yoghurt-and-berry stacks, mixed melon, overnight oats. Layer visibility is the entire purchase trigger.

Why clear PP, not PET, at 20.8 g
Clear food packaging defaults to PET for crystal clarity, but PET fails two thinwall requirements: it cannot be microwaved, and it goes brittle around –10°C in freezer transit. PP food-grade trades a small amount of clarity (the wall reads as a slight haze under direct light) for full microwave compatibility to 100°C and impact resistance down to –18°C.
For a salad bar operation that wants the same SKU to handle both cold display and a customer's microwave reheat the next day, PP is the only material that covers both ends. The 20.8 g wall is calibrated for stack strength when the container holds a 700 g grain bowl plus dressing pouch.
Ordering details
MOQ 1 carton (500 pcs, 20 pcs/pack × 25 packs). Lids are sold separately and share the Rec-Oval flange across the 600/750/1000 ml clear and black variants — one lid SKU spans six container variants. Sample sets ship before bulk order for clarity verification against your existing PET or PS containers.
For larger portions on the same mould, see the transparent 1000 ml Rec-Oval. When the menu shifts to hot-fill rice bowls where black presentation wins over visibility, the black 750 ml has identical dimensions.
