The Frosted Black Flat Cup 400 ml is the matte-black variant of our 14 oz signature thinwall — 12.7 g of food-grade PP pigmented through the resin (not sprayed) so the black body never flakes or scratches white. It is the cup most often spec'd by specialty coffee accounts that want their cold-brew menu to read "dark roast" on the shelf.

Best for
- Specialty cold-brew bars where the cup needs to read "premium dark" without paper sleeves or printed labels.
- Australian dessert delivery (chocolate parfait, dark-cocoa pudding) — contrast against light toppings boosts food-photography conversion on aggregator apps.
- Limited-edition campaigns where operators rotate matte black for 4–8 weeks alongside their default frosted-natural stock.
Material rationale
PP food-grade carries pigment through the melt at 220 °C, so the black colour is part of the wall rather than a coating. That removes the food-contact risk you get on sprayed cups and lets the cup take a 100 °C hot pour without fading. The 12.7 g wall is identical to our natural and clear 400 ml — every sealer setting that runs the Frosted Flat Cup 400 ml also runs this black variant with no machine reset.
